Beautiful gifts for dressing up

A few weeks ago my mum bought Frankie a little bodysuit with a tutu on it, and she is OBSESSED. She knows exactly what to do when she’s got it on and asks for it all the time. This morning, she wore it for breakfast! We spend a lot of time watching and re-enacting baby ballet on YouTube these day….

So when Gem asked what she could get Frankie for Christmas, some dressing up bits came to mind and this is an area that small businesses EXCEL at. Just look at these beautiful pieces, and this really is just the tip of the iceberg, explore these businesses further and they’re sure to spark not only your little one’s imagination, but yours too.

For space lovers, this Intergalactic cape by Mimi and Lula looks just as good on as it does displayed on the wall! The shimmery fabric has a magical feel to it and there’s even sparkling star charms on the ribbon tie (with a super practical popper closure hidden underneath).

Frankie loves it when I do my (very bad) robot impression, and even tries to replicate it in the cutest little way, so this eco-friendly, Swedish design, super cool robot mask would be right up her (and my) street. Made from vegan leather and eco glitter, it’s a guilt free purchase!

I’ve long loved Meri Meri and they’ve pulled out all the stops with their pink velvet nutcracker costume. With tulle and gold lame details, it’s sure to spark the imagination of every child who’s lucky enough to wear it. An investment, so perhaps better for an older child who won’t grow out of it in a matter of months, but oh so beautiful!

We’ve followed While Iggy Sleeps since we started our business and her fabric crowns have caught our eye more than once. The beautiful velvet fabrics are backed with cotton and finsihed with and adjustable tie. As if I need a literal reminder that Frankie is the queen of our house!

And finally, this feathery set from the costume queen, Robins Bobbins, who’s pink flamingo cape costume is hand sewn and can be personalised with your own colours. She also does a Christmas turkey on…

I know Frankie would love all of these things and they may even buy me five minutes to write my next gift guide… I hope!
